Hello. I am not a cat. I have found in some books a human note. This is what it says.

​I wonder what percentage of my life I will spend in the office chair. It’s not what I want for me. But it offers me stability, and it gives me money consistently. Still, I’ll go home and dream. I’ll paint, write, create, and play music, hoping one day that I could choose it. I want it to be better for my kids, and I’m worried about the message this sends

Is this sentiment common for humans? Plz help me understand.
